Upstairs is beautiful after refurbishment. Downstairs already underway, cant wait til its all finished!! Food great with excellent prices too!!! Cant beat it!Great place to go!!!

Am sure the place will be better than before but seriously needin to get rid of sour bake staff - Cant wait till its all finshed. Agree with evryone else actualley

Agree with previous comments made before new owner took over! Needs gutted out completely which is being done. Can't wait till its all finished. Our new local will be the place to go!

If i had as many complaints i would not have went into it,i am glad who bought it,as long as he is left alone to run it himself,i think he will do a very good job.

The Melting Pot was a bar not a club like the one round the corner with names on the seats ;) Good memories of the Pot but a deep clean and a lick of paint was all it needed now lets embrace change lol Call it the Melting Pot 2 lol

Changes a'plenty in the new 'Strand Bar'
taken over by a well respected local man, already getting painted inside and out and hear new, more open window's are on the way!!!

Rejoice! The rusting Pot is no more. The Berlin Wall has fallen, the statute of Sadaam has been toppled-even the Melting Pot's first cousin, Pol Pott, is no more. Now the Smelters has been siezed by the risen people, the sticky old bar staff expelled and the pub re-launched as The Good Ship, The Strand Bar. Justice is done!

I had the misfortune of being in there once and it is literally a hell on earth, i hope no-one has the misfortune to stuble in there ever!!!

If there is such a place as hell on earth then "The Pot" is it.On the short journey from the front door of the bar to the Serving area, I was 'tapped' for money three times.The clientele range from the obligatory 'spides' with bar code 'taches' to a range of motley characters who looked like they were extras from Stig of the Dump. The tiolets look like they were last cleaned when Joe Bell was an altar boy....
