Having never (up to the time of writing this )had the privilege of having a drink in the Hedgehog and B ucket,I can only comment on the friendliness and kindness on the staff and clients whom I met at my brother Laurence`s (Larry) funeral and later at Roselawn Crematorium. I would just like to thank all of you for being there. I `m afraid I don't remember all the names of all Larry`s friends who shook my hand and expressed their condolences. (Dave and his wife and of course Geordie who has been there for Larry through all the years of his illness) Larry often spoke of the "Bucket" and I`m told he had his own seat and could get very grumpy if anyone had the misfortune to sit on it! Anyway just wanted you all to know that I deeply appreciate everything you meant to Larry over the years. I hope his spirit ,unlike the "The Wayword Wind " will no longer be restless but will have found the peace and rest that he richly deserved. I loved him dearly. he was a lovely man and a lovely brother. R.I P. Larry...

Given that I (mis)spent a large part of my formative years in the old "Shoehorse Hotel", I can't say a bad word about this place, in fact I hope to pop in for a quick swally next time I'm over for a Linfield game. No doubt the usual suspects will still be sat in the same seats, eh Rodney????
