Apparently this bar is for young people only and you will be refused entry if you don't fit the bouncers idea of what a young person looks like

Nice place for a casual drink. They have a nice relaxed atmosphere civil doormen and dead on staff. Unlike a lot of other places they have a good selection of scotch (blends and malts). And some nice craft beers. Only a few negatives - used to full of hipsters and its hard to get a seat when its even slightly busy. But all in all a nice spot.

I do like this place. The doormen are unfailingly courteous and the bar staff are attentive and professional. The music is a central attraction at all times, featuring cool DJ sets and the Wednesday night open mic sessions. The only problem that I see is that it's on three or four separate levels, which tends to take the focus away from the main downstairs bar. Clearing away the sofas from the downstairs bar and replacing them with smaller tables and chairs would 'fill up' what is often a large empty space and provide a central focus. This place has huge potential.

Great atmosphere with good banter, open mic night right up my street as well as cocktails in jeellie jars. Had a blast, will be sure to nip in again on my next trip across the water

I wouldn't pay any attention to any review before about June this year, this bar has been completely changed! Not Ma Nelsons anymore. Really cool place, very alternative decor, beer range and they serve cocktails in jamjars, love it! Open mic is worth a nosey on Wednesdays
