The Elk is a recent Community Pub of the Year regional winner. The decor of ornate Irish pub mirrors and whiskey memorabilia offers a relaxed atmosphere for lunch or a pleasant evening meal. While venturing upstairs offers a more formal dining environment.

The Elk Bar has plenty of entertainment, with "The Ultimate Pub Quiz" on Thursdays starting at 10.00pm, LIVE MUSIC on Fridays and Saturdays from 10:30pm - 1:00am and PUB STARS - Search for a Karaoke Star every Sunday night. With a GRAND PRIZE of £500!

There is a full daily menu and snack menu of the highest quality at affordable prices.

Customer Comments and Reviews of The Elk

The new design looks nice, but sure took away alot of the atmosphere of the place. My advice would be to get rid of those long caravan style benches and get some sofas or something instead. It feels a bit formal and not somewhere you would go for a Saturday night party. I think they need to look at how 'the other place' is doing and work out how to compete with that. The Elk used to be a good night out.

I can be found propping up the bar every day and night! i love this place it is like the home i never had. My favourite thing to do here is to get up on a sunday night and sing my wee heart out to Jonny Cash. I love all the bar staff they are like family to me and they love me too. Any time u want to drop in chums i will be there for a drunken chat at the bar. Come visit soon!!
