Mountainview Tavern

The Mountainview Tavern is situated at the top of Belfasts famous Shankill Road.

It has recently been renovated but has kept the feel of a traditional Belfast pub. The walls are decorated with framed pictures of the Greater Shankill from days gone by. It also has a "snug" decorated with football and boxing memorabilia which gets the punters talking of sporting events from the past.

Along with enjoying a pint in the bar you can now also sit in the beer garden to enjoy your pint or a smoke. Shelter is provided for the wet days and the garden is complete with plasma TV.

Been regular visitors to this excellent, friendly, family run pub for a few years now and can't praise the staff and customers enough. The welcome you receive when they hear the Scots accent is second to none. Mary and Wilson have made great improvements in the last couple of months. We have decided to make it our "local"when we visit Belfast Great pub!

I think you have a glitch on your site?

I really cant believe the transformation in this bar. It is now without doubt the best bar in the Shankill area.

It is a great place to watch live football, it has 3 plasma screens, one of which is behind the bar so you dont miss the action as you get served.

There is also live music from time to time. It has a fantastic friendly atmosphere.
