Bar Budda

Budda is located within The Odyssey Pavilion, occupying a prime site overlooking the River Lagan and The Titanic Quarter which is currently under development.

Budda Belfast is the new flagship venue from the very successful bar, club and restaurant chain, The Budda Group. Based in Glasgow the Budda Group operates numerous venues throughout England and Scotland, but this venue is the first to open in Northern Ireland.

With it?s Thai influenced menu and d?cor, it?s a somewhat unique style for Belfast, spread over two floors with magnificent views over Belfast Harbour, the shipyard where the Titanic was built and the Titanic Quarter.

Our head chef Ken Morrison, brings 24 years of cooking experience to the kitchen at Budda, and together with his team of chefs aims to give you an insight into Thai cuisine without the intimidation. (Did you know ?Not all Thai dishes are hot !!) They are more than willing to modify dishes to suit various palates.

Only the freshest and highest quality produce is used, with our team preferring to use local ingredients whenever possible. Our fully licensed bar offers a broad selection of premium beers, cocktails, spirits and fine wines.

The venue which includes a bar, restaurant and club, covers a massive 10,000 square feet and is sufficient to facilitate 900 customers at any one time.

Whether it?s a three course meal you fancy or simply a light bite, Budda certainly has something to suit.

been here 3 times because other places were too busy. first time, it took forever for me to get served a drink, not good when you have a movie to see. second time i was told there was no blender to make the cocktail i wanted. third time they stopped serving food early. what sort of business is this. if they buck up their ideas i would go back because the staff seemed ok and the place looks good. just a pity!

Went here after having a meal at Bar 7 which was poor which i had of ate here, found the door men really friendly, the music was great, the dj was a laugh and i had a brillant night over 20 odd of us where here and all had a great night my only complaint would be that the dancefloor needs to be a bit bigger, and more bar staff other than that i had a brillant time

Was at Budda with a large party of people - food was below average to say the least (burnt starter and reheated main) and certainly not worth the price. I'm afraid the club was no better with bar staff leaving me standing at the front of the bar for a full half hour before serving me (I wasn't the only one, whole groups of people were complaining) and the music was just odd-strange remixes of chart songs with the DJ loving the sound of his own voice way too much! I definately won't be back, nor will any of my friends.

Budda is great i go about once a month, the music is great to dance to and everyone there is friendly. the service int he club and the resturant is quite quick and the food is lovely. The DJ on a Saturday can be a bit arrogant, but he usually plays whatever you request. overall i would totally reccomend it

You were there on a Monday evening and requested a song from the DJ and he wouldn't play it??? UMMM... Not only does Budda not have a DJ on a Monday... ever.... it doesn't even open on a Monday!!! Think you might have have a few too many West Coast Coolers that night and forgotten which bar you were in !! oooppps..

i headed in on a monday night for a few drinks after the cinema. the music wasnt too bad until i approached the dj to request a song. he was the most rude arogant person i have ever met and clearly didnt want to know what i wanted to listen to so for that reason i will not be back. i think the staff that work there gives a poor reflection on the whole bar itself.

I went to bar budda twice the only reason why we went was because the beach club was so packed its like a last resort the first time i went i thought that it was pathetic the dj didnt know wat they wer playin and most of the drinks are expensive.the only reason i went a second time was because yet again it was halloowen and the beach club was full so we waited in an un-ordered queue for 45 minutes with people bunking the que and the door men did nothing about this when we finally got to the door i was shocked to find that they wer charging people 5 pounds admition for wat a crowded dirty club with poor bar staff outraged is to say the least

Was there saturday night past, and felt I had to write a review. We booked a table for 7.30 for 22 people (all girls on a 25 birthday night out) Most of us arrived earlier and had a few drinks at the bar first before sitting down to eat. Got chatting to one of the bar staff and apparently he runs a cocktail training company, he was doing all sorts of tricks behind the bar - very entertaining. We all had starters mains and desserts and the quality of food was very good indeed. I had been about 2 months previous and it was ok then, but this time round was fantastic. The service was excellent too, the staff were very attentive and seemed to always notice when our glasses was empty and offer us all more drinks. We got free admission into the nightclub upstairs and the DJ was great - the last time I was there, it was only 70s and 80s music, which is ok but can get a bit boring after a while, but this guy, Gary I think his name is, is the new saturday resident and he was fab. He played 70s and 80s but all the big tunes like bon jovi, and madonna too. We couldn't stop dancing all night - it was great but my feet ached the next morning. I had such a good night and so did my friends that were gonna make Budda our new sat night haunt. We used to go to The Taphouse, Bar Seven and the odd time Wellington Park but now its Budda all the way. Ps.. the guy in the white shirt behind the bar is well sexy too.

Good night out. New manager has really done wonders for this bar with new more proffesional staff and great service. Heard there's a new wed night started with great drink promos gonna give it a go next week.

As i went into the bar, i was pushed out of the way, for a some person to be sick all over the floor. The drinks were gd priced, but the glasses had a foul smell to them with the outside of one of my glasses being filthy. i didn't complain at the time because im not that sort of person to. Me and my friends will not be setting a foot near there ever again!

Brilliant, booked my mates birthday party there last friday and it was agreat night. Food was excellent and service was too, I was told there is a new manager running it now and it certainly looks like hes doing something right, couldnt find any evidence of the problems that other people have mentioned before me. Def be back on a regular basis. See you soon

I have been to Bar Budda quite a few times with wheelchair users and the staff are friendly enough (perhaps a little patronising toward the wheelchair users). However the layout is so poor for wheelchair users and I find this hard to believe considering it is a new club. The last time we were putinto the VIP area which was tiny and considering we had 5 wheelchair users present it was a bit cramped to say the least. Also the disabled toilets were at the other end of the club so it was a disaster to get through the crowds. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR WHEELCHAIR USERS!!!!

Was out at Bar Budda last Saturday night and had a fantastic night. The food was excellent and the service second to none. I travel all over the world on business and was very impressed with what the standards here. The music was great and it was a good mixed crowd as well which I enjoyed. Next time Im back in Belfast Ill certainly be giving Bar Budda another go.

Had the pre-concert meal. Drinks arrived 15 mins late. Food was the worst we have ever had. When the food eventually arrived we had to ask for cutlery which arrived 5 mins later. When we complained we were told that we had opted for the pre-concert menu (this was the only one available!), as if this in some way excused the dire level of service and quality of food. Would not recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy.

I found a piece of glass in my shot, and the bar manager fell nothing short of accusing myself and my friend (who's birthday we were meant to be celebrating) of having put it there ourselves. We were also sworn at...I'll never be back to it.
